Aoshima: Rockbat Model Kit

New year, new Brog. I start my 2011-Brog-year with my darling No.1.
Rockbat. The freaky cat.

This time I want show you some detailed views of the Aoshima Rockbat
plastic model kit. I think I’ll never glue this kit together, because I ended
my modelbuilding career with 14.  Better keep it MIB ;-)

There are a few Rockbat & Blazer model kits, to be precise 4.
Two big ones from Aoshima and 2 smaller ones from another brand.

The box is really nice. Rockbat is posing like superman.
OK, the scarf around Rockbat’s neck looks a bit strange. Parlez-vous français?

Inside the box: Construction manual, catalog, “guarantee” note & the plasitc kit packed in 3 bags.

This is the catalog, showing two  other cool kits. Blazer and Curricular Machine.

Here is the construction manual. Looks simple…maybe I try to build the kit.
Or keep it MIB?

A big and a smaller bag for the plastic parts.
In a separate bag you find a few stickers and 2 springs for Rockbat’s rocket-punch.

Now a few action features of this unusual Rockbat.
Adjustable legs, secret chest-cover, special skateboard, axe, firing right fist…

…and instead of left fist. A spring loaded spaceship.

A spring loaded spaceship instead of a left fist!
WTF…I keep it MIB ;-)

Some more box details of the other kits.

More fotos etc in the BBS as usual.

cheers

Sakura: Oni (green version)

The end of the year comes closer and it’s snowing here, like hell.
So no reason to leave the house (yes, I already have all x-mas gifts for the family etc)
and enough time for making a Brog. Today’s foto victim is the friendly smiling guy
from above. The little diecast demon from Sakura, called Oni.
Our chairman Mr.Sjoen already made Brogs about this guy, but I thought that
there’s always some room for extra love.

Took some time till I got my Oni. No specimen for a reasonable price
poped up in the last few months. To be honest, took me 2 years or so to get one.
Maybe I missed some auctions, but no my search ended.
…or do I also need a red version?!  ;-)

OK…lets start with the box.
I think I used this phrase a few time in my Brogs, forgive me.
But the artwork of this box is fantastic, I love it. Sakura didn’t make
lots of toys, but their boxes are awesome.

Oni is protected by some cardboard and comes with a battery.

There is a battery compartment in Oni’s back.

Put the battery inside and the Sakura lightshow starts.
Oni has a flashing eye & horn gimmick.

Oni’s weapon arsenal is pretty prehistoric…he comes with a spiked club.

I end this Brog with a little Sakura-box-groupshot.

Bullmark: “Rubber encased tin” Blazer

“Rubber encased tin” Blazer or “super cheap toy” how Mr.Alt said.
How unsexy. Isn’t there an “official” name for these kind of toys…like chogokin, sofubi, etc?

Well, to be honest…this little Bullmark Blazer IS really cheap.
But for a Rockbat & Blazer nerd like me…he’s a must-have.

Own one of these Blazer is enough…NO…better you have 12 of him ;-)

When this Bullmark cardboard with Blazers popped up on Yahoo I had
a mission: Win this auction!

Now I have to find one of these with Rockbats…  ;-)

More fotos in the BBS.

BTW…I think these Blazers are perfect to decorate the Christmas tree.

Nakajima: Pegas “small” MFV

This robot is such a nice guy. Nearly everybody likes him. But why?
Because he’s a bit fatty, has a very long nose and is blue?
Well maybe its a combination of everything. So what…I like him too.

This one here is the ca. 6,6” (17 cm) Missile Firing Sofubi from Nakajima.
I call him “small MFV” because there also is the big MFV-Talker.
Let’s start with the Box. Not so spectacular from the front, but specially
the back is very nice illustrated.
Mr.Fraser “rediscover” the good old animated Gif…so I MUST HAVE one here too ;-)

Sorry, the Gif is ca.500 kb big…but quality needs a frew kb’s.

Here the box “non-animated”.

Pegas comes with 3 missiles, a few cardboard targets and little vinyl “friend”.
Sorry I’m a cretin…is this little “friend” really friend.? What’s his name?
Please tell me the whole story in the BBS.

Here’s Mr.Pegas. Isn’t he cute…

Some close-up’s of his missile launchers.

BANG, BAAAANG…Gansta Pegas.

That’s it for today. More stuff as usual in the BBS.
Don’t forget to tell my how the name of his little alien friend is.
