Gardian
featured a revolutionary "nestling"
combination mechanism that makes it a stand-out
even today. The gracefully thin lines are
a stark contrast to the usual tank-like
robot body shape. (Watch out for those knee-joints,
though.) Although each robot component was
assigned its own GA number, none of them
were ever sold seperately. Gardian is familiar
to many non-Japanese collectors as a part
of the Godaikin series of toys.
A black version was displayed in a Popy
catalog, but does not seem to have actually
been produced.
