Gan-Gara-Gan-Chan
is a classic of Japanese silly-robot design.
What isn't widely known is that this particular
GA-number was originally intended for another
classic silly robot: Boss Borott from the
Mazinger Z series. For whatever reason (probably
declining interest in things Mazinger),
Popy decided not to produce the Boss and
assigned GA-53 to Gan-Chan instead.
