Not too surprisingly, the local dealer whom I got my Schneider Unit from was soon SOLD-OUT on all the other variants. Good stuff like the this can't stay secret for very long! So it was back to HLJ for my next Liger fix.

With the sleek, killer looks of the Jager Unit, everything screams SPEED!!! From the minimal finned fore-ankle guards to the amazing retractable boosters on its back, the Jager was built to be the fastest thing on four legs.

Following the original's footsteps, all four shoulder armors and the head pieces are enameled diecast pieces with perfect fit and finish. But the highlight of this design has to be the retractable wings and exhaust blades on the booster unit. This winged killer-cat belongs as much in the air as it does on the hunting grounds.

Looking at Tim's terrific images, the Jager is like an exotic sportscar - it looks like it's going at a million miles an hour even when it's standing still :)

And how would Mecha Barney fare against our fearless hunter? Death from the above, that's what!
