CURRENT RUMBLE

needed a FIX. I needed a FIX bad. Well what I got was truly just another hit of toy crack in the grand scheme of things. I picked up the Gundam FIX Figuration 0004 - G-Armor by Katoki Hajime and our dear friends at Bandai.

In my experiences there truly is good and bad in all things including this figure. The FIX G-Armor is a beautifully sculped and painted piece of Gundam love, but not without its problems. It definately is another one that falls into the 'figure' or 'display model' category. Despite its inviting sculpt and mountains of accessories, it fails to deliver in the toy department. The combinations G-fighter, Bull and G-armor were all painful a best and despite my careful ways, not without some superficial paint damage. Everything is sculpted superbly, and there does seem to be a higher standard of finish quality than the run of the mill MSIA, but it seems fragile, hollow and somehow...cheap. There I said it, cheap.

All in all, for guys like Keith that can't get enough Gundam, dont pass it up. For the rest of you with $50 to burn, go buy the Kado Senshi RX-78, it may not have the Katoki flare, but it is certianly heads and tails above the FIX G-Armor in the playability department. Oh, and by the way, the Kado Senshi Gundam doesn't take three hours and the jaws of life just to get it out of the package.
