10/28/98: It's re-issue time, kids!

According to the latest issue of Hobby Japan, it's going to be a Seventies-style Christmas. Not only did they confirm that the Banpresto Mazinger-Z GA-01 re-issue is going to be a near-exact duplicate of the original piece, but Takara will be re-issuing chunks of it's old "Microman" line.

According to the HJ Front Line Toy Review (Nov. 1998, p. 179) the first pieces to be re-made will be the TIME TRAVELLERS of the Microman/Micronauts line. Here's the info:

• Japanese Street Price: 1800 yen (approx. $15)
• Packaging: blister-pack.
• Release date: December '98.

For those not in the know, the charming and clear-bodied Time Traveller figures were the basic figure of the entire Microman/naut line-up. These look like exact copies of the original Japanese versions of the toys, down to the cylindrical coffin/capsule that the figures come with. The article hints at even more Microman re-issues in the near future. Stay tuned.
