New Machinder Drill Hands For Sale!

Posted by jacksauce
I recently made my Murderlizord a Holy Drillpurger missile hand.

I plan on doing many more such hands. Not as missile launchers, but as regular hand attachments for almost any Jumbo to use. This isn't meant to replace the getter 2 drill (although it could certainly do so in a stylish manner). Just think of it as a new Popy arm. Would anyone be interested in buying such a thing?
Gravies! That's silly! Love it. Sure I'd buy one.
Did you turn that on a lathe , pottery wheel, or something? Just curious.
I'd have to try rigging a little motor for spinning action, in there.

Oh, and bonus points for your tables in the background looking like a mad-scientists lab.
Looks dangerous, I like it!

Spinning action! I should do that. True value!

"True value!"

Was that a hardware store pun? If not it should be! Jack that's some nice work there. Any more progress shots of the Godzilla custom?

There are some pictures here of me bringing it to the Kaiju museum exhbibit in south florida:

A robot-japan admin (who is a hugely nice guy) put together a write-up and an a ton of pictures. I'll have some more finalized pics of him when I borrow my friend's excellent camera.

The crotch shot behind the shooty fists is a little too Freudian for me, Jack. I'm sorry...
The freudrod was wholly unintentional.
After much ruminating, I finally assembled a mental picture of how to get a simple, hand-spun version of this drill to work. I arrived at the hobby store, and was greeted with bins and bins of tiny motors. There's no way I can avoid the high road on this one... The drills must be motorized! This will be the triumph of the Popy spirit! I'll have to delay the making of these that much further, though, while still striving for the government's New Machinder Attachment of the Year award.
How about a wind up clock work mech? wouldn't require batteries at least and have that old school vintage charm about it :-p

Plus it could be the alarm that wakes you in the morning!

Either I've been spending way too much time watching the Wiggles and I'm hallucinating, or Duke Freed was the original Captain Feathersword.

Yikes dude!
