Maybe they just show it more...while most of us manly men subconsciously hide our dysfunctions better...?

This is exactly what happens every time a fandom reaches a certain size, so that by the sample size and basic probability the fandom includes a significant amount of terrible people. We all know that the worst among any group are often the most vocal, and the larger the sample size, the greater the proportion of the total group made up of these people seems to be. The effect on this person, becoming argumentative and obnoxious in response to the terrible behavior of others, is extremely common in once-sedate fandoms becoming broader and more active. Nothing about this seems unusual at all.

Fell over when random photo feed links on FB popped up some pics of certain folks we know, at Wonderfest JP, and there be crowds of DUDES!! in anime dollie costumes, with the cutesy masks, perky skirts, high socks, bright wigs, the whole works??


"Dollers" competing for convention attention against "Bronies"? Or is it harmonious vibes all around? YOU decide! I gotta go outside, holler into the night, while windmilling my arms around in frustration, while simultaneously trying to not split in half with uncontrolled laughter.
