Wait, what, Billy comes with an anatomically correct crotch piece?

It looks like he at least comes with a pair of flesh-color meat underwear. But I haven't seen any full-frontal nudity shots of him. I really hope there's a wiener under there tough. Hell, they put "real" lady parts on the Queen's Blade figures and I don't want to think of Billy getting cheated out of a similar treatment.
Sanjeev (Admin)
Yeah, I was about to say, thomas, why would you even remotely be surprised? Have you seen the porn toys coming out nowadays?
I looked around on EvilBay for Billy. The prices are running between $50 to $80 depending on which version you want. It's a little pricey, but maybe it's worth it.

The S&M one rightly commands a slight premium. In the interest of awesomeness, I was ready to drop the cash on "Birthday Billy". Then I caught a photo of the package. Or, should I say, the lack thereof.

Indeed, Billy is emasculated. Instead of including an anatomically correct crotch piece, they give him flesh colored undies. See exhibit A below. Which begs the existential question, "What's the point of a naked male action figure that doesn't come with a penis?" Let the speculation begin.

Well, I've lost interest. It would be cheaper and more satisfying to customize The Warden into a flaming leather queen. Now that I think about it, that sounds pretty awesome...

the first one is SO Village People it's not even funny... someone needs to gift GCrush one of these just so we can get some extensive posing action! I'd just like to say that the face on the S&M version creeps me the FUCK out.

I reread this thread because I couldn't believe it was four pages long. I just want you all to know that some of my most precious memories are right here in these very posts. And, yes, I mean memories more dear to me than my first three marriages, the births of my second and fifth children, and the time my senior prom date Cindy Johnson caught Jenny Brown rubbing her amputated leg-stump on my shoulders behind the basketball bleachers and she got all confused-but-turned-on by it instead of angry and we had a three way that night before I left town for my Navy enlistment a day later.

I also took Vince's early suggestion of Google image searching for "gay toys" and I got this. It's... Genius.

Wait, so I'm Hillsy and Gcrush? Faarrrkk!

Anyway, finally received the Getter Dragon. No big deal, I only waited 10 years to have a toy of this design.

It's nice, though this is the first figure where the crotch-thrusting emphasis in sculpt is really starting to get to me. And it's kind of small. The cool thing about the OAV-version Dragon is how squat and chunky it is, and it looks like they really went for a svelte look here, especially compared to the Getter 1:

The size differential is really noticeable with the Gurren Lagann figs (which admittedly are some of the biggest in the line):

Seems like the boxes are getting bigger but the figures are getting smaller. Hopefully that trend will reverse itself in the future.

All griping aside, I do dig the fig:

Nice figs there, I didn't realize the size difference was so much between different characters.

..btw,,if gingaio/Gcrush is also hillsy, that means he's also by default, cae, which means toys, and nakedness, are running rampant around here... Yikes.

The size differences do make sense in a lot of cases (Shin Getter vs. Getter 1), and in some cases it's just that the skinnier figures (the Gainax bots) are going to be taller. I just hope the trend isn't to make all upcoming figures smaller. It would suck if Dancougar was tiny.

I made myself jealous by posting those saucy Getter pictures. So I thought I'd snap some more. Here's the bestest revoltech evar: Enkidudu.

Terrible picture, but you get the idea. When I found out that Gurren LLaaggaann wasn't about this robot I got all pissed off and couldn't finish watching it. By comparison, GL sucks. It has twice as many heads and half as many arms. That right there is pure crap, kids. Moving on...

This thing was a stupid limited magazine premium order deal. Or some such nonsense. Comes with four swords, a bevvy of paws, two different left thighs (one bandaged, one minty fresh), a stand, and an insert hawking various Revoltech figures of the time - include Enkidudu. Which, leads to my main beef with the figure. It only includes two tiny sword holders for the shoulders, whereas the advert shows it coming with the standard hip-mounted sword holders as well. Except that the figure doesn't include them. That's more crap right there, kids.

Also, the underarm joints on the under-arms are the puny ones. So's I swapped out for the larger kind. It's aesthetically goofy, but it gives it a greater range of motion and stability.

Whatever.

If you were wondering where Enkidoodoo got that delicious chicken wing, he stole it from Black Ox. Another wondrous Revoltech because of its simplicity.

The figure has an incredibly shiny finish, too - it's as glossy as the Soul of Chogokin. Delicious.

Lastly we have the second bestest Revoltech evar, a figure so awesome that it is totally un-derserving of the lame-assed name they gave it.

I present you with "Member of Z".

It's not even worth showing you what it looks like intact. That's totally not the point of the figure. No.

It's true purpose in life is to explode in a gooey mess of gore when other toys touch it.

Like this:

That's the sweetest sauce! Oddly enough, "Member of Z" has perfectly straight ribs inside it's body. And a near total absence of internal organs, aside from a lump of large intestine. Which, more awesomely enough, can be pulled out while the rest of the figure is left intact. But I forgot to take a picture of that.

Also in the shot is The Warden. It's such an awesome sculpt. It exudes latent 1980's speed metal homo-eroticism with its bulging muscles, leather thong, and grimacing helmeted face. But there's little in the way of useful articulation.

The Warden can either stand or poop because of the goofy v-crotch and upper thigh swivels. And the Warden lacks any kind of bicep/elbow swivel because of the overlapping in the sculpt. Not all FotNS figures are like that.

In essence, The Warden can only "feel the burn" by curling its biceps or squatting, just like a real-life a bodybuilder at the gym. Points for realism, jeers for lazy design.

It might be worth pointing out that The Warden lacks nipples. I plan on fixing that.

You're too sweet! But that's why I love me.

I actually like the helmet-less-ness of DooDoo. It's a pleasing counterpoint to Enkidu's giant mohawk, which I generally don't love. After I become President of Japan I'm going to order Kaiyodo to make me a giant Enkidududu figure that combines the helmet, four arms, and rocket legs of the previous three. It'll be so badass. Actually, I could probably just make it myself, but the presidency is such a sure thing I'm going to hold off for now.

I should probably post about the Queen's Blade Revoltech, too. I bought the first one not knowing about the boobies, but what a nice surprise! Then I got all weird, like, what if it was really from some stupid MOE anime? Was I becoming a pervert? So I watched a few episodes on-line and, thank gawd, there are literally no lead male characters! It's all about warrior lesbians! Sweet!

So I bought the second one. It turns that it has removable underwear. And, yes, it's anatomically correct. Shaved, but realistic. Now I definitely feel perverted, but in an acceptable "I'm really just a misinformed 13-year-old boy on the inside" kind of way. It's neoporn. And I'm okay with that so long as the characters maintain the height and 36-24-36 proportions of your average ADULT woman.
Yeah, all of the QB characters are adult women. One's a loli but I think she might be a dwarf as well. I'm waiting for Cattleya to be made into the line, which is the largest chested character in the whole franchise.

I've only seen one episode, and she wasn't in it. And I tell you what, googling the name will take you to some strange places...

Prepare Yourself for Cartoony Big'uns!

Also, the hilairously serious discussion about the figure are worth the sleezy feeling of visiting the page from whence the image comes.

"I wasn’t that interested at first. I put her up for preorder initially, but then decided to drop it. Then I saw the first inclination of epic nipplage (via this site, may I be so kind to say) and decided to buy it through Hobby Search the other day. Now, I’m extremely glad I did, as the Akibablog blog review REALLY makes me very glad I’m waiting for HS to follow through on the purchase ASAP."

Haw! Should you laugh, or should you cry? Do both!

Damn near all those QB characters have proportions well beyond belief, so to say that Cattleya is the "largest" is really something indeed. But admit it Vince, it's not the boobies that got you - it was the glasses wasn't it?

Ironically, it was Kamina who told off Viral with "You think you're so great just because you have two faces?!" when he first appeared in the helmeted Enki.

What about original-Enki's helmet? Is is possible to combine that?

Enkidududu would have SIX arms.

New robots and stupid rubber dinosaurs = Original

Old robots and stupid rubber dinosaurs = Cafe

Sorry. I know I posted them before but I figured it'd at least be appropriate for this thread.

Despite already owning the SOC and the GNU-Dou, I want the upcoming Revoltech Dancougar. I am however, disappointed by the lack of accessories it has. It'll only have the main sword and the big cannon on the back swivels out (with revoltech joints of course). No large handheld cannon or wings.

I remember that part. It was right around the point where it all fell apart for me. Guren Lagaan's design pales in comparison to Enki. Shit, they even stole its helmet! Aaagh!

> What about original-Enki's helmet? Is is possible
> to combine that?

Well, Enki and Enkidudu are identical save for the left thigh, additional arms, visor/eyebrows, and upper chest piece (shoulders and back). And the attachment points for the extra arms are on that upper chest piece (in the lats) - which has no scalloped out part where you could fit the head. So to get a helmeted, four armed robot it would be better to drill holes in the original Enki's lats and plug the extra arms in there. (You can tell I've thought about this more than I should have.) The only problem is, what would you call it?

> Enkidududu would have SIX arms.

My dilemma exactly!

I'm honestly not sure if anime ribs form at right angles or not. I posed this question to a forensic anthropologist and all I got was a blank stare. We need to consult an anime doctor on this one.

I dated a woman who was similarly epically proportioned and when I tried to sleep on her boobs I was politely told, "That hurts. They aren't pillows." At the time I didn't believe her, but I let it slide for reasons similar to what Mason noted. Seeing that Queen's Blade screen cap convinces me that she was lying the whole time, no doubt so she could hog them all for herself to sleep on.
