Nah, nah...it's like doing a J. Are you cool, man?

But now that I think of it...I probably WOULD buy a David Carradine Figma.
>I figure girls would be more into Nendoroid than anything else.

Being that most Nendoroids are $40 each, I doubt it (unless it was a male character).

I don't collect Nendoroids myself, I prefer figma all the way.

Like this. What I just preordered this morning.

So you're suggesting only guys would be willing to spend bucks on expensive toys, and that girls lack the means to buy such toys?

Not only that is completely incorrect, but it also smacks of very unfortunate implications, which I'll leave to you to discover (hint: a statement like that might earn you a slap from certain girls).

And on top of that you suggest girls would never want female characters. Just like guys never would buy Duke Togo...oh wait!

Most MOE fans are too awkward to ever get within touching distance of an actual woman.
How is it that there are Figma Kamen Rider figures??? Hasn't KR been the exclusive domain of Bandai forever? Or are Figma figures different enough in scale to allow for this?

They got around that by using the American name Kamen Rider Dragon Knight along with the changed names.

Some girls buy females figures but I'm talking about majority and basically what most anime female figures are for, 20-40 something (single) Japanese males.

I just read Andrew's KOS-MOS review on CDX, and it sounds like a pretty solid toy. The only problem seems to be the lack of ankle joints...but that's just a bad design choice. The general consensus seems that QC is good on these and that they're very stable.

As such, I just placed my order with Hobby Search.

Gods...me...another action figure. :P
I forgot to mention in the review that every Figma comes with the official Figma plastic baggie.

yeah i've never seen this movie
Figmatoes.

I've never watched any Kamen Rider beyond the original series. Yet I've always been taken by the appearance of Kamen Rider [BLANK]. I guess the concept is that this is how the hero appears before Yu-Gi-Ohing into better clothes. Whatever. I don't care. It's too goofy not to enjoy.

The above review has lots of pretty pictures and whatnot, so I'm skipping those. The main point is that this figure is pretty good, and the stability of the Figma joints is light years better than Revoltech or Figuarts. I'm not sure what kind of soul-swapping bargin Max Factory made to produce such good jointage, but this thing holds poses very well. And that's despite being made up of layers of rubbery costume-ness.

Yes, that's right. The figure is essentially an armature-in-a-suit deal. But without the armature. Instead, the overlapping suit pieces connect directly with the Figma joints. I don't know how durable it will be in the long run, but it's the best use of this type of material I've seen. Others have tried, like the SIC-ish Zeiram or Guyver figures, but none have succeeded so well.

Are there low points? The paint is iffy and mine has a conspicuous mistake right on the tum-tum. I wish the costume was more grayish and less blue. The handle for the card reader thing feels about as durable as a rubber band. There is no grasping hand with lateral motion so [BLANK] can't fully extend its sword in a slashing or stabbing motion. Lastly, the eyes aren't clear - and that's nigh unforgivable. Max Factory spent time making the costume in these brilliant layers, but the head is one solid piece with painted eyes. Lame. It should have been at least two pieces - a base helmet and a grill-cover with clear eyes somewhere in between the two.

Aside from the above, it's an ace toy. Easily the most awesome version of the character. So far the couple of Figmas I have are solid, and this gives me high hopes for the upcoming Robocrap figure.
I still like the Armor-Trans Riders better. Granted, they look like something out of "Beetlejuice" when their helmets are off...but who wants to display them like that, anyways?

I had a bunch of the AT figures and they weren't all equal. Some sub-lines were pretty damn awesome while others were booty. The (Alternative?) crickety guy, the crickety guy's psychotic transforming motorcycle, and the 3-pack of monster doods were especially badass. Yet I opened a few brand-new figures to find disintegrated plastic on a half-dozen occasions. Lower arms, fingers, and heads would all magically split or tear off without warning.
