Gamera looks fantastic. Great sculpting on the head and chest, multiple Revo joints in the tail, and the moving jaw and fire breath effect look seamless from some angles.
He seems tiny, though. Tinier even than the average Revoltech.

Genius. Now, I need both Gamera and Booska so Booska can get the jets. Kenshiro actually looks well suited for flying, with those goggles.

That's Chris Walas.

He's on the cover because he did a review of the revoltech Alien.

That explains it. The way he keeps saying, "Really cool," makes me uncomfortable. But not as uncomfortable as the alternative of putting Giger's mug on the box. *shiver*

Listen up, bitches. And listen good. I'm here to tell you that the Revoltech Gamera kicks twelve different kinds of ass. You don't even need any pictures to know that. They wouldn't work anyway. Because they cannot capture how awesome your new pet turtle will be. And you don't even have to feed it. I can't wait for the inevitable Gamera 3. Or, dare I hope, Nightmare Gamera. Gasp.
Yes, it is a little tiny, and yes, the wrists mysteriously use those weak-ass hinge joints instead of the patented Revo-joints. But that doesn't matter. Because Gamera has a fucking waist joint. A turtle. With a waist joint. Let that soak in for a minute or two. Even real turtles do not have waist joints.
Seriously - go buy a Gamera. You will not regret it. It'll taste better in your mind hole than all those stupid sandwiches you were going to spend the money on anyway.

Putting in a cheat code to transform EVA-02 into Teh Beast was lame. But the figure is pretty damn awesome. The sculpt, articulation, paint, and effects-parts are above par. It's an unsettling combination to look at for too long. The clear stand is the shit, too, and long overdue. But why use white Revo-joints instead of clear? And why is there no bloody arm-stump this time?
While the package photos show the old-style small joints on the elbibones they actually used the newer, tighter joints instead. Nice. Crappy hinge-jointed wrists and the totally unnecessary joints on two of the gut-plugs are the only real downers.
One thing that occurred to me in general is that Kaiyodo is making these figures' boxes about 60% larger than they need to be. There's a whole lot of waste in there. The old boxes, while not as pretty, were much easier to store.

Random Alien pics that I apparently forgot to post. Notice how wonky the tail looks in the third one. That's where the wire stops short. Ugh.

Subbing a few joints for double-dong-Revos lets your Alien squat lower - peep the subs from behind. Also note how annoying it is that you cannot rotate the tail at all. Boo. Hiss.

Ah I see. I'd prefer if it was 90's Mogera. Never saw the Mysterians so I have no nostalgia for the orignal design.
Anyone get Getter Go yet? I hear it's back panel is fragile. At $30 a pop these go for now, anything such as fragility issues can scare me from considering getting one.

I asked if I have "Time For L-Gaim" but I got "No Reply From The Wind".

Quit bitching about the cost of toys. Even a gallon of milk costs more than $30 these days.

Anyone know where to get the Jurassic Park T-Rex? I can't find it on any of the usual buying sites.

Vincent, I'm not sure if you've heard, but there's an exciting new retail sales technique called 'pre-ordering' - you see, when a product release date is announced, retailers allow customers to place an ORDER for it at a time PREvious to its release. By this mystical scrying of commerce, we obtain the fundamental transactional essence of the future's stock-in-trade in anticipation of its material fulfillment.
About that T. rex - I'd say to check some Japanese web retailers and the Kaiyodo online shop? If THEY haven't got it for preorder, it's probably safe to say it hasn't been formally solicited yet, and if they do, we probably just have to play the waiting game with the American distributors.

T. rex is going to be in the "Sci-Fi Revoltech" line, right? It hasn't been added to the lineup page yet:
[tokusatsurevoltech.com]
Or to the Kaiyodo store category:
Apparently these official pages are only listing products through August, and not even all of August at that, as Mothra is not yet included, much less the T. rex or the Powered Suit.
