^^ LOVE it! =D
X9 Gearlock sets.My room smells sooooooo gooood.

Oh, I know what they are! Your pics here and on skullbrain continually make my head swirl. ;)

They're fucking glorious. Like, as far as I can tell, the PERFECT modular "cityscapes" for kaiju and robots to defend or terrorize...as the case may be!

If I had more room available to me, I'd love to set up a big table with various sets and stage all sorts of fun scenarios. Y'know...what you're doing...playing with my toys like we're supposed to!
I've developed a real LOVE/Hate relation with them Jeev.
I find myself taking a work break, breaking it all down, and building it up.
Sort of a game, how many parts do I have left and how can I incorporate them in to what I've made.
"Is taller better? No..not in this case..oh yes it is...there I go..."
I can see the method. If you could tie the base "gearblocks" up in a knot, it will jam naturally. So the parts don't allow that.
I've got a few more sets on the way mostly for the tower parts.
I don't think Bullmark ever released a whole set of just those, but they should have.
Then you need to leave space for the car launcher, then the missile launcher...
It's like playing solitaire.
Too much stuff, it won't crank. You need to split it up into various divisions.

are you telling me that stuff works with the Ark connectors?

Yep. Unfortunate limitation...one you'd wish they'd've worked out ahead of time. Still, the modularity and scale of these things is what really makes them shine, I think!
cae
okay - phew. Hadda ask. Now it's something I don't necessarily need. Had me scared for a minute, there.

Peeped this on an auction... guess he lost the shins and forearms. I thought this pic was hysterical for some reason. It totally still works!

" Unpacking & setting up...the fun part :) "

Yeahh, thats so true! Even cleaning and dusting is fun.

Awesome pic Mike...old-school gokin overkill ;-)
Hell that's just part of one wall...there were four ;) One of the funniest memories I have in this room is when a bunch of Power Ranger obsessed kids came by to take a look. They were probably between 8-10 years old, and had the PR fever pretty bad.

When they entered the room, they did exactly opposite of what I expected: They fell totally motionless and silent. Poor boys could barely talk. And at some point I just had to turn them around and walk them out the door, mumbling and confused. I've often wondered if that memory is still stuck in their heads like a fuzzy dream...I know this is the case for me with old store front window displays at places like Jeffry's Toys, Johnson Imports, Authors, etc.

Nice Jake's-crotch. Where'd you get it?

:P
I'm more concerned about how you knew that was Jake's crotch....

I'm good like that.
I took a few pictures of the tables that day. They were so "Random" in the coolest way. Didn't mean to capture any recognizable crotches in the shot.
