[BROG] Shogun Warriors: GUILTY!

[toyboxdx.com]
After this Mattel Voltus V 2in1 (with the help of ED from robot-japan)
I got Daimos. I'm very happy now, cause Shoguns are pure childhood
memories for me. We didnt have such a "super-robot-culture" in germany
during the 70ties compared to Italy, France, Spain etc.
Japanese robots had been very exotic in germany. But there had
been a few robots you could buy during that time, like Ark robots,
Popy stuff (in "german" boxes, I'll post some oth them in the next BROG)
and a few others. Captain Future was a big thing (till today),
because the TV Show was a big hit in germany. So no Mazinger Z,
no Goldorak, no Gatchaman...nothing. But I loved these strange
looking robots as kid, even I didnt know anything about them.
I'm a simple guy...I like good looking things ;-)
again Daimos
Shoguns GO!

Thanks AcroRay!
I really love these little guys.
Last year in December I posted this picture with the subline
"WE WANT TO BE BOXED!!!". Didn't thought that this
wish comes true so fast.

Awesome shots! Someday I'll snag myself a set of those minis. I never realized that Poseidon's whole face was a sticker!

I try my best, thanks Dylan.
some more Shoguns.
I bought most of them for small money in the 90ties in germany.
The condition of the boxes could be better. I always wanted to "update"
to boxes in better condition, but these guys getting more and more
expensive with mint boxes.
Zargon...hmm, why did they gave good old Gaiking that name?
So, that was my little Shogun Warriors retrospective.
I have much more of them, but a lot is missing.
So I have some "collecting objectives" for the next decades.

Ben I have a few of them. Let's talk Gaiking arm srping trade ;-)
Chogo,
Excellent photos. And I agree about the Mattel vs Popy boxes. The Mattel ones bring back so much from my childhood.

Mason, I'm sure we can work something out. I'll just have to make myself a big note so I remember to bring the arm bar to the Summit. Personally, I was planning on beating you to death with that little shoulder bar and taking all your Onell customs anyway.

apropos Collectors Shoguns Prometheum5.
I post that on robot-japan before:
The legendary Nacoral Store Display from spain.
Robots Del Dr. Infierno aka Collectors Shogun Warriors
with very scarce Raider Figure and Grendizer variation
If you wanna buy a display. Costs ca. $1100 (with all 12 figures)
The good thing for me...I have no space in my glass displays for that piece,
so I dont have to buy it......logic...no...I want it!! But 1k$... ;-)

Chogoman, is that the display Darth Kriss has been trying to sell for awhile now?
Also, did you see the other thread where I posted a link to my friend's blog that has Venezuelan versions?

Isn't that the one that has a drawing of the Popy Grendizer Jumbo Machinder on the back of the box?

@ Nekrodave
Yep, the store display is from giocattolivecchi.com.
First time I see this Venezuelan versions, wow, pretty cool!
This "Goldorak stand alone" is super scarce.
He's on the top of my "wish list". There was one on
ebay france (I think last year), but the auction was closed...maybe
they made a deal outside.
I think there is also a "Goldorak stand alone" with a german box
and there is an Goldorak DX Box (Goldorak&Saucer) with clear plastic blister from
france, I know I've a foto somewhere (I try to find it).
some more fotos.
collectors box variation (nothing special, but a bit rarely than the others)
The Mattel versions often vary from the Popy Robots/Vehicles.
Plastic parts aren't chromed, other stickers, etc
Here's a nice example for the non-chromed Mattel version (Dangard)
We also had some "special" Jumbo Machinder here in europe.
Well, you all know Goldorak. Mattel used the Goldorak "body sculpt"
for other Jumbos, like their Astro Robots line and this Mazinga here.

@ Chogoman,
the German version of the "stand alone Goldorak" is the same when compared to the French version... excepting the warranty card.

@ Yann
Very nice, thanks for the info!
This "Goldorak et sa Soucoupe" is a great piece.
I'm a stupid idiot, cause I had to chance buying one
for a good price (Paris, mid 90ties, no cash), but I "only"
went home to germany with a boxed Jumbo Goldorak.
Ok, better han nothing ;-)
But since this time I try to get this piece again,
but till now. No luck.

Wow! A watch?!? I thought I'd seen just about everything from the Shogun line but I've never seen a watch before! Thanks for posting that.
It looks like you're missing the bop-bags though. I know there's at least a Great Mazinger and I think JoshB has a Reideen too, so I assume they were probably all made?
I've always known about the Rocket Tops or whatever they're called but I recently saw some related merchandise that I was unaware of.
First, here is a counter top display box that they were sold in in Italy:
Here they are under another brand, also in a display box:
And lastly, in carded form, also under another name...

I have the separate 5 boxes of the U-Combine combattra, but I'm missing the box to the battle jet. I have never seen another for sale by itself, unfortunately. I have seen the DX box set a number of times.
I once passed up a MIB Grendizer 2-in-1 at a toy show, about 10 years ago. $150. What a mistake. Does anyone know if the US box was labeled Grandizer, Goldorak, Goldrake etc? I don't recall.

@machinesoldier
arghhh $150...nice price... when you see prices today.
I bought 2 of them in the mid 90ties in france each for ca. 90$ ;-)
But I must say that was much money for me that days, as a student.
You mean this Grendizer 2in1 ?
Because I think that this Grendizer never had been released in the USA.
But I'm not 100% sure.
