Fun fact: when Sucklord was developing the Cosmo Douche, I passed on to him some reference sites with fugly bootlegs for inspiration--particularly this very thread.

I had never heard of this before. But apparently there was early 1990s cartoon titled "The Bots Master"...It was FULL of the fuglyness!!

Some of those things look decent in the pictures. The toys are really bad though. I used to watch the show but it was pretty typical 90's fare. The show did have a 3d glasses gimmick so they were ahead of their time.

The creators of this Fugly knew enough to put Macross on the box in order to maximize ebay search hits. They tried to gundamize the face and the result is very Fisher-Priceish. The box is actually really nice for a bootreg, even bears some Tatsunoko copyright text.

They are called poker-robo, I found them 10ish years ago at the flea. I've been looking for the other two forever....if you end up finding some with leftovers, give me a shout. I love these things.
