If you get one you have to get a mini Death Cross to fight him too, like so:
[blogs.yahoo.co.jp] A shame the mini Death Cross doesn't have the visible innards unlike his big brother or either version of Saurer.
(I have two of the three mini Death Cross variants, need the remaining one and would love to get at least one mini Machine Saurer myself....)

Great granddaddy of mechanic toys!?
Daiya "Ranger Robot," circa 1965 (ironically, purchased by someone at the Morphy's auction! If only I'd known.)

Another ancestor: Robert Robot, from Fireball XL5. Amazed nobody's ever produced a toy of this. Nice custom here, though.

When I ran into Yaco at Superfest, things got a little hectic and I think we ended up absconding with nearly anything that wasn't translucent or nailed down in the building.

Ha, I was about to reply to the reply from...naw, never mind.
Clearly I was mistaken.

This guy clearly doesn't need a hand. (edit: Or perhaps I should say he's heavily armed?)

Call him Legion, for he is many-tentacled.
I don't usually collect non-insert translucent stuff, but this was a gift and it's purty. It's a test-shot of a Bandai PVC figure.

Is it possible to add inserts of some kind during the process, or is that not possible? Because that would look AMAZING with a metal sheet insert, like these Unifive keychains Yaco found a while back:
