They're Andro Melos "Mechanic" toys, part of a complete, unopened box that I stumbled across on YJ. Made by Yamakatsu (motto: "Toys and Fancy Goods"), they look even cheaper and more hastily sculpted than Clover's Gundam stuff. Still, they get points for going the extra yard and actually chrome plating the inner workings.

They're really amazingly, beautifully rough-looking when you get up close and personal. Check this one out:

Yeah, the chrome adds a great effect that the Gundams don't have, and I can understand it with robotic characters like King Joe, but Gyeron? Regardless, they are very cool.

NICE! I've never seen those ones on the bottom, but chrome innards + translucence = bestest toys. How big are these?

Regarding the top ones, about a year ago I found an entire case of these on Yahoo Japan, all still sealed on the card. Unfortunately the price was so high none of us went for them.

Looking at the ones on the bottom on a different monitor now, I think my crappy screen was making me think they had chrome skeletons. Do they?

The toys measure about 2-1/2 inches tall. They are made by Ohsato just as the others above. Many of you have seen them before I'm sure, but didnt know what they were. The auctions I've seen only show the boxes and never the toys. Here are the boxes. Ohsato also released a Defender and a Tomahawk in the series.

A note if you you are looking for these, Ohsato also relased a series of small posable rubber toys in a small box that is virtually identical. Before you buy, you might want to ask.

I bought these fropm Noel (Blackaces) a few years ago.

Oh, no they are not chrome :) That would be really cool though.

Those see-thru Valks are really neat. I managed to score the white 1J on a mangled card in HK a couple years back - and gave it as a gift to a Macross-mad pal. I really like the molded pilot peeking out of the half-enclosed cockpit.

I honestly don't know. I just saw it in a shop and decided to bring it home with me. There's nothing on the card to indicate anything like that, that I can see anyway.

I don't usually go for realistic (whatever that means!) sculpts, but this new Y-MSF Godzilla '62 ("KingGoji"...from King Kong vs Godzilla) is clearly cool. Plus, I don't have any KingGoji's in my collection!
