Let me be absolutely clear...

They're Andro Melos "Mechanic" toys, part of a complete, unopened box that I stumbled across on YJ. Made by Yamakatsu (motto: "Toys and Fancy Goods"), they look even cheaper and more hastily sculpted than Clover's Gundam stuff. Still, they get points for going the extra yard and actually chrome plating the inner workings.

They're really amazingly, beautifully rough-looking when you get up close and personal. Check this one out:

Yeah, the chrome adds a great effect that the Gundams don't have, and I can understand it with robotic characters like King Joe, but Gyeron? Regardless, they are very cool.

In the world of Andro Melos (subtitle: "Ultra SUPER Legend") we're ALL robots, deep down inside.

Time Bokan Translucence.

It's clear to me that Macross needs to be represented in this thread.

NICE! I've never seen those ones on the bottom, but chrome innards + translucence = bestest toys. How big are these?

Regarding the top ones, about a year ago I found an entire case of these on Yahoo Japan, all still sealed on the card. Unfortunately the price was so high none of us went for them.
MattAlt (Admin)
WOW. Like Roger, I was aware of the clear-chested ones but have never seen the half-translucent guys. Thanks for posting.
Looking at the ones on the bottom on a different monitor now, I think my crappy screen was making me think they had chrome skeletons. Do they?
The toys measure about 2-1/2 inches tall. They are made by Ohsato just as the others above. Many of you have seen them before I'm sure, but didnt know what they were. The auctions I've seen only show the boxes and never the toys. Here are the boxes. Ohsato also released a Defender and a Tomahawk in the series.

A note if you you are looking for these, Ohsato also relased a series of small posable rubber toys in a small box that is virtually identical. Before you buy, you might want to ask.

I bought these fropm Noel (Blackaces) a few years ago.

Oh, no they are not chrome :) That would be really cool though.

I think I may have seen some of the solid ones last week. Great score!
Zor Master - great info and shots! Do you mind if I use these in a future "Ohsato" data file?

Robert
Sure! I have a bunch more Ohsato toys, stickers and cards.

Would your data file include cards and stickers?
>Sure! I have a bunch more Ohsato toys, stickers and cards.

Awesome! Thanks!

>Would your data file include cards and stickers?

I'm pretty much concentrating on the toys but when I'm done with it I'll let you know and maybe you can help me fill in any gaps. Thanks again for your help!

Pure love could never be clearer:

Those see-thru Valks are really neat. I managed to score the white 1J on a mangled card in HK a couple years back - and gave it as a gift to a Macross-mad pal. I really like the molded pilot peeking out of the half-enclosed cockpit.

It's not easy to pick a clear cut favorite between these two, but I think I'm leaning towards the Meganuron.

ooOOooh! Who makes the Meganuron? That's going on the to buy list!

Both are from Toy Graph, with the MG of course a S7 exclusive from last issue.

Was that a WonderFest exclusive? Corey, I've seen 'em on YJP being sold anywhere from Y5000 to Y7500......you may have to use Celga one more time, sparky.

I honestly don't know. I just saw it in a shop and decided to bring it home with me. There's nothing on the card to indicate anything like that, that I can see anyway.

Ooh! Paul! Sweet!

Love those new Walder minis. Saw Satan, Dokoro, and Plantboy in a single bag and almost wet myself.

Too damned expensive, though.

Oh, well.

Yeah, those Walder minis are very very nice.

Wish they would have molded them in clear. Maybe next run?

Absolutely love Exohead. S7 has them in stock now.

I don't usually go for realistic (whatever that means!) sculpts, but this new Y-MSF Godzilla '62 ("KingGoji"...from King Kong vs Godzilla) is clearly cool. Plus, I don't have any KingGoji's in my collection!

Just eye candy, I suspect - can you imagine how lovely the toy would be once candy started to melt in there . . .

---------------------------------
hassenpfeffer
Melts in your mouth, not in your toys.

finally broke down and got a set of these.

Wow! I think those are pretty cool! Are they those Toynami SD valks or something old?
