He's a very technical boy, indeed.
The Gundam on the left side of the half-and-half shot is a recent Uni-Five RX-78 keychain figure. It's actually the exact same size as the Clover "mechanic" ones, but the difference in proportion is pretty amusing.
This one's pretty technical, too.

Since we've ventured away from toys....Wakulla Springs, FL, more famously known as, ironically, the BLACK LAGOON. I can't remember exactly how deep that shot is, but I took it from right in the middle of the lagoon. I'm pretty sure it's at least 50 feet down.
But back to toys, my meager addition...Pikuduron

"Are the cutaway Ideon meccas from the "Mechanic Ideon"? The "Mechanic Ideon" shows the chromed cover parts. Did Clover make the ones with the transluscent covers?"
Actually it was Tomy that made the Ideon ones since they had the license at the time.
More pics of that Great Mazinger. Do the internal parts go all the in the parts that aren't clear or is it molded for one side only?

I asked if I have "Time For L-Gaim" but I got "No Reply From The Wind".

Jess,
There are two types of cheapie Ideon toys, and Tomy sold both (although they're so close to the Clover stuff conceptually that I wonder if they were co-productions or something).
One type are the minis with chromed parts. They're the same size as the half-translucent Gundam guys. See "miniboxes" attached below.
Then there's a larger scale that's actually got translucent parts. See "ideoncompare" attached below. They're twice the size of the Clover Gundam guys. I wish Clover had made more stuff in this scale as well...!

"Clearly I can't compete..."
You're clearly mistaken! :)
This "see-through" Takatoku toy is one of my all-time favorite images of yours, Tim:

I can clearly see though the shallowness of you all. :) Ok Bad joke.
Anyway one of my favorite toys that uses clear parts with internal stuff is that of the Diaclone Dinosaurs, better know as the G1 Dinobots.
An idea for a toy that I think would kick ass would be something (can be any license, even Gundam) in which the figure is totally clear plastic with the internal parts made of glow in the dark plastic. Turn off the lights, boom you'll only see the internal skeleton.
