so the smokestacks are neutered on the figure itself...but on the back picture they are full length!?!!?

Hound looks to be the best Alternator, by far. Some seriously impressive design - I'm really curious to see how the rollbars on the top of the jeep hide away in robot mode (I'm sure they just fold down onto the back, or something, but I want to see how it works). He IS G1 hound, right down to the stripes on the arms. Also, note that the Autobot symbol on the hood looks to be on a panel that flips over to hide it in vehicle mode - wonderful touch.
Prime's US packaging isn't anything unexpected, but it's nice to finally put the smokestack issue to rest... Looks like it's the Takara version for me. At least it doesn't appear to have any "battle damage" on the arms (although the pic on the back does). If the Takara version actually has long 'stacks, that's the one I'll go with, but I don't think there's been any sure sign of whether or not it does, yet.
