Well, yes, but that's expected in a Hollywood action movie.
Turturro turning in a shitty performance is NEVER expected, though. It's a shock to the system.

Literally, none of my personal female friends went to see any of the Bayformers movies [LOL! good for them!], so I can't necessarily speak about the misogyny...

But I know plenty of men of color (including myself) who saw at least the first one. Trust me--there's certainly some level of racism to be expected in your average Hollywood schlockfest...but the absurdly rampant samboism in Bayformers was a tad bit more shocking to the system than Turturro's subpar performance.

Having seen Avengers, I vote for Joss Whedon to reboot Transformers.

And every other fanboy comic/cartoon movie from now on.
Well, the Transformers are barefoot all the time...

Actually I felt that this was very short-sighted design. To me, a "living" robot wouldn't be composed of sliding metal plates. It's more likely to be composed of much smaller elements, much like organic beings are composed of cells. In such a case, why wouldn't a robotic body move in a more organic sort of way? Yeah, it's not as "Hollywood" as these are, but it seems more appropriate to me. Just my .02.

I love the part where the soldier standing on his hands shoots with his feet at a frantically mistransforming Starscream.
