Dual model (sort of) returns, with a Bayformers flavour.

Check this out, from this month's hobby mags, Takara are reviving the dual model concept with pre built endoskeletons of movie Prime and Bumblebee that will come with all the armour parts on frames. Interestingly it does actually state that they're model kits so I doubt diecast would be involved but they're not cheap so who knows. They're also scaled at 1/35 which is a first for Byaformers, Bee is 3800y and Prime is a whopping 8800y.
Obviously they don't transform, the focus is on accurate representations of the movies character designs.

Wasn't there something like this from the first movie for Prime and Bumblebee that were awful because the the sheer number of armor parts flying off everywhere?

Gotcha. I'm sure they'll be wildly successful.

New pics of a grey prototype for Optimus, this is actually quite impressive, I'm leaning towards wanting it despite the huge cost.
