[Transformers toy] Dark of the moon.

Man so far from what I've seen there's gonna be a lot of lack-luster releases in this toy line. We've already seen the megatron toy here but as more photos start to surface I decided to make a new thread for them.




The new prime figure looks like a complete wast of time and money. How do you follow up Voyager Battle Blades Prime with this steaming pile?


I guess the huge stupid weapons are the main gimmick(s) of this line. So far they just look stupid. Stupid.


Strange little legends class suv, transforms into a twisted burnt turd.

I tried to gather some more of the images that surfaced but a lot of them seem to have been taken down now.

So, is the uhh Z Team working on these designs? Even if I don't like the design, both the Voyager and Leader Primes from the last movie were shockingly well engineered.

There was a lot of great TF's that came outa the ROTF toy line (and sub-lines). It seemed like hasbro wanted to make up for the rushed toy designs from the first move. Now it looks like we're getting rushed toys again, only this time we get hilariously over-sized weapons. I hate it when a toy design suffers from a stupid gimmick.

I still cant make heads or tails outa that thing on BB's roof.

Naw, this is good news. It makes it easier to pass and save the monies. Besides, the offerings for core characters from the previous movies have been so good as of late that it would difficult to improve upon them. I mean, is there a whole lot you could do with deluxe (battle blade?) Bumblebee to make it a better toy? Not really.

I'd just like them to finally make a leader-sized Megatron that doesn't suck. The voyager one above is a good start, but it needs to be a lot bigger...

Yeah DX starscream looks a little miss-transformed there. Need to see a better transformed image before passing final judgment, but so far it's not look'n too hot. I'll stick to ROTF Leader Scream.

Oh good, I was hoping to get another F'n repaint of this Ratchet.




Hasbro gave us a kick-ass DX ratchet in the nest alliance ROTF sub-line, I really wish they would give us a new voyager mold.

It's not the worst thing I've ever seen, but when's the last time a movie toy line really delivered while the movie was in theaters? They're always rushed. The DOTM toys won't get good until the movie has been out on DVD for six months. In the meantime just let your wallet enjoy the break.

Toss away the cape and I quite like this...definetly a purchase for me.

Shockwave is the only one I like so far. Although the robot mode looks cool, the tank looks like mush.

Dagaan Prime? *sigh* just when you though it couldn't get worse. At least this is the last of the Bay TF movies...right? I hear Sentinel Prime is a fire truck.

The Prime figure in that set doesn't look half bad. The forearms look kinda strange but the combined mode is just awful. To top it off, that's an $80 figure and it's voyager size.

This is exactly what I expect for a movie year - everything is rushed, crappy, and logged with gimmicks. Every shitty looking toy fills my ears with the sound of the bags of money I can save on Transformers this year. Of course, we haven't seen everything yet. But you get the idea.

Now that's not bad at all. The "Mech-tech" weapons actually look good! I think I got my first buy outa this line.

Sentinel Prime looks quite nice, although I wonder whether the weapons can be stored in vehicle mode...

Is this a new delux Ratchet?

Yeah, it like they took the original voyager, scaled it down and combined it with the HFTD DX Ratchet. It looks ok, but I'm sticking with HFTD Ratchet.

On the other hand, scout Ironhide isnt too bad at all. It actually has the right arm cannons!

I don't much care for most of the Bay designs, but I have a thing for Blackout. Scout class? That Skorponok must be tiny!

Has anyone picked up the new movie preview figure, Cyberverse (scout class) Optimus Prime? If you havent, do your self a favor and snag one. This little figure is fun as hell and surprisingly very detailed.

Just got back from a midnight TF toy hunt. Scored DOTM DX Starscream (awesome toy) and voyager Iron Hide (terrible toy). My friend got a DX Roadbuster (not too bad, but not too good). I was hoping to run into some cyberverse, but just DX and voyagers are on the shelf right now.

I thought Iron Hide looked pretty good. What makes it horrible?

Also, where did you score these?

Kinda like to know myself. Looking forward to the Cyberverse stuff as good toys for my kids.

It really flimsy, in both bot and truck mode. It has really bad part fits on the truck. There's nothing that feels "solid" about it. It also has problems with lots of part pop-off. Quality issues really, it could just be mine. I do wish he came with a second big gun. He doesn't look right with only one.
