Y'know, I'd totally buy a transforming Ravage USB stick...but $43 plus shipping for 2GB!?
I just bought a 16GB Sandisk Cruzer (i.e., not a shitty or generic brand) for $31 shipped.
Offer us some value, for fuck's sake, Takara. The fuck can you do with 2GB...?

Yeah, Takara's "Label" lines suck. They have that Chrono Label, $300, ass look'n watch thing. Dumbshit watch thing. I use to get these for 50 cents out of a vending machine at the grocery store.
The mouse dino-bot things look really uncomfortable, I bet they won't even be wireless. Blaster is kinda cool, but not at that price.

You can tell there tying to market to the "adult otaku with disposable income" crowd.
Just HOW much disposable cash do they think people have (even in Japan) in a recession?
I like the look of the dino mouse ones, but not something I'd actually get at a crazy price.
Seems like Takara was the last of the youth marketed toy companies but now they feel that even they have to market to otaku types.
Takara seemed to always makes toys that were good for both children and the older collector type.
--------------------------------------------------------------
I asked if I have "Time For L-Gaim" but I got "No Reply From The Wind".

The idea of simply having a new Blaster toy is appealing, so I will probably get the hub. I wish they had gone with a more utilitarian alt-mode than a laptop (like something that resembles an actual USB hub) but I'll live if it means I can have robot Blaster hooked to my desktop and managing my various accessory devices.
Anyway, I like them- sort of a Microchange-ish vibe. Unlike the the headphones or MP3 players, these actually look like something I could use.

The 'label' project is an interesting adventure. Given their recent merger, I imagine there were a few ideas of how to expand their market. They probably did well on the Soundwave mp3 player (I still want one), so now we are seeing more. I'm not too surprised by the price; since the recession, I don't recall seeing many toy companies slashing their prices...more like raising them.
These remind me of Lego man key chains and Computer Warriors. It's not really meant to be useful for everyday use, but it's one of those "it's cool to have around my room and impress my guests with".
I like how it carries on the whole "robots in disguise" theme.
Am I the only one who knows there are robot battles going on in my room while I'm at work?

You want a Micro Change vibe? Check out those things they made for the first movie that nobody bought. The MP3 player, cell phone and the like, very fun and very cheap.
The Soundwave they did was at least a plausible idea of a once tape deck playing music from SD, it was just overpriced and under-powered for the tech. Takara needs to find a better partner for it's tech in this line. It's years behind the curve and priced like it's cutting edge. If those memory sticks were 16GB+ then it would be a much better idea, you'd get people thinking about buying it, but when I can buy a 2GB stick at Target for $5 it's just a huge waste of effort.
What's next, a Reflector that is a 1.2 megapixel digital camera and is $200?
