This was my go-to Brawn the past couple of years:
Amazing what the third-party people are doing.

And scaled, too. Courtesy iGear:
About the MW-03 Hench and MW-04 UFO, we plan to make them about 12CM≈4.7 inches, slightly higher than the other two released MiniWarriors, and the height of the rest Miniwarriors unreleased will be different too, depend on their scales in the G1 cartoon, will between 8CM to 12CM(3.1 to 4.7inches). We also welcome the proposal of the height of them, thanks.

Yeah, $15. The horror. Now I can't buy that bottle of TUMS that I've had my eye on at that pharmacy for the past few months.
I wonder if the scale thing was a reponse to fan-board bitching about how small these robots are.
The novelty is precisely that they're small and well engineered, 'cause well, they're minibots. I'd hate to see them get rescaled much bigger just for the hell of it.

Don't do it, man. That soul-less corporate pharmaceutical shit has zero diecast. Guarenteed instant buyer's remorse. Just wait for the 3rd party TUMXOR to roll out in a couple of months. It'll do you better.

I think the fixation on Devy's head is because, to them, he's supposed to be the perfect awesome centerpiece to your collection, so he should be superfantastical. Also, if you've got the 600 bones to drop on him in the first place, you've probably got another 20 you can spare for a different head or whatever.

Yeah, but they all look bad, including the replacement head. What's the problem here, guys?

I must be totally dense, but I am not seeing any issue with the size here. They made him about Scout size from the look of that proto, which would be the logical equivalent to mini-spies for a Classics lineup based on the existing scale classes. Why would you want him any smaller? He wouldn't fit with the Classics figs, and he'd be too big next to Legends/Cyberverse stuff.

Why bother to do an updated sculpt on Powermaster Op if you keep the same horrible head design? The mind boggles.

I'm not Matt but no sir, I don't like 'em.
I like the designs for what they are, but in my mind, they're NOT what I liked about the original Warpath and Seaspray...which was their small size and cute SD-ish chunky proportions. Same thing with not-Brawn: nice design, but misses the point. It lacks the charm of the original proportions.
Heh...funny how this line of discussion is starting to sound like those Rise of the Beasts figures...

I dunno, the only detail of Brawn's that I'm really attached to that I think the update lacks is the funky claw hands and the door wings. In the cartoon he was more 'normal' like the new figure, but the size of the toy wasn't necessarily what earned Brawn a reserved spot in my pocket.

Is this the beginning of the end for 3rd Party stuff? I sure hope not. Apparently prolific customizer Jin Saotome is staunchly anti-3rd party and has been 'rallying support' against them, which is funny when all he does is profit from Hasbro's efforts by repainting figures. It seems there is growing moral discontent among the TF community, which is strongly at odds with the people who are simply interested in the best product regardless of its source.
