If a modern robot toy can't do a nice, relaxed, moderate A-stance than I get mad at it. (Think the stance that all of the Gundam Fix design art has - they even have occasional articles in hobby magazines about how to get your kits and figures into that pose at just the right angle.)

What Unicron really needs is a flight stand for zero-gee.

Fortunantly Neckbreaker comes with a complete hip replacement for Heavylabor. Heavy labor should consider using a walker and he needs to drink more Ensure so this wont happen again.

It's silly to me :3
SRX managed to turn R-3's creamy thighs into a pair of solid trunks. TFC needs to go for full Japanese over-engineering if they wanna make real collector's toys that break out of the package

Well...it kinda-sorta works, right?
I mean, the modern toy is patterned after the G1 Pretender shell...so the lil not-Thunderwing is the actual non-shell robot inside. Seems reasonable to me...

I happen to like blocky robots. The blocky vehicle mode doesn't quite fit with the super sleek Generations figure's jet mode, but I like the idea enough to grab them. I might just buy all three for the sake of having a little modern Metalhawk even if I'm not going to get the hideous Botcon Metalhawk.

Oh jeez I actually do kind of want one. But... a hundred freakin' dollars? How big is it?
I like Thunderwing, and I like the idea of an add-on inner robot for the new toy. But I hate the design of the new toy, so I don't care about the add-on. It's a paradox.

Because we have a tendency to agree so much...I actually think Thunderwing's one of the better things to come out of HasTak's CHUG line (yes, I'm using that acronym). It was a really cool toy to me.
Anyway, as Sanjeev suggested, the way the new toy docks to the nose is accurate. Too bad the jet mode overall is not.

That fake chibi Thunderwing has a worse jet mode.
How is that possible
Why not just make a new design with a similar head? There's probably some IDW thing they can ripoff.

Wait, so the 'extended forearms' are replacing those parts of the individual figures, aren't they? How many freackin revision parts can this thing need??
And yeah, goddamn, how many times are they going to mess the head up.
