Mah-kay toys? Sure...why not?
Anyway, random rant: I hate how TF reviewers use OTHER TFs to show off a toy's scale. Dear asshole, I don't have the other TF...so that shit don't help me. There's this magical thing called a "ruler". Hell, you don't have to film the fucking thing next to one...just tell me the gods damned height in whatever units you like. I'm a big boy; I'll convert.
So back to the toy...the biggest question seems to be the head style. I wonder if they can just have a swappable design...showy or toy-y.

ahem Sanjeev, if you know your Hepburn romanization then you would know that the characters for MA and KE are read as Mah-Keh when written in romaji

So I've been working on some small TF weapons, and I'm getting them 3-D printed with shapeways. I'm not sure what to expect right now, but Sanjeev has pointed me in the right directions for materials. If things go well I'll probly move into figures sometime in the near future.
small blaster
Small pistol
(3D renders, not the actual 3d prints)

Ha. Yeah, giving us the measurement would have been nice. The little Optimus Prime figure in that video should be about 5-6 inches tall.

I think MacacaToys was actually soliciting feedback regarding the face on the TF board. There's the usual gossip/crazytalk swirling about regarding a head with a flip-down visor. Man, I wish they'd stay away from that shit, assuming there's any shred of truth to it. It's got QC-error written all over it. Just go with one head or the other, not some weird vacillating in-between. I mean, whatever head MacacaToys releases, some enterprising third-partier's bound to release the other as an add-on head anyway.

Wow, those are pretty damn cool. I like the slightly art-deco feel.

I think I've solved the problem with the first gun. I haven't gotten a rejection notice yet, and I took extra care when making the pistol. I know the printed models wont be as smooth as the renders but I'm hoping to smooth them out an recast them.

Nice! Heh, I'd like to see you take over my project in creating the guns for the Not-Insecticons. The 3D program I was using is poor, but at least mildly usable. Everything else I've tried is way out of the realm of "intuitive." So, I've made little progress and my lack of knowledge of the subject clearly shows when I submit stuff up to Shapeways. Bah.

I could take a look at what you made if you like. My goal right now is to make 1 new weapon a day.

Hey Fuji, do you happen to know the size (in mm) of the peg in Thundershred's weapon? It's all I need to finish this thing off.

Fantastic! As far as I can tell it's 4 mm. Same as the Rodimus gun peg size.

Thanks, I'm going to make the other 2 insecticon guns. Still not word on the peg sizes though, I made an inquiry over at TFW so hopefully someone will know.

I've been working on this shield for a while now. It transforms (and I used the term loosely) from a shield to a gunner turret. I've got the shapes and transformation all worked out.
The blocking-model is a simple model used to work out shapes/proportions, and to work out the transformation.
Now that the blocking-model is finished, it's time to start work on the detail model. This will be the finial model used to send to shapeways.

This model was rejected many times for having thin walls, but apparently one of the orders made it though the processes thin walls and all.

Got the ultra frosted today. It's pretty nice, needs a little cleaning though.
The edges are much sharper, and it's overall crisper detail.

Re-made the "wings" on the shield. Still not perfect but better than the last attempt.
