Case in point- I do not drink regularly, if at all by most standards, but I am fascinated by micro and home brews and the craft behind beer in general. And whiskys. Not that I've found an example of either that I can stand, but I enjoy reading about them!

Devastator is the terrible toy that everyone loves.

No comment on the toy. But the word "Kreon"? Ugh. It sounds awful.

cretin + peon = KREON
B00
I thought the same thing too. What a bad name.

I keep hearing "Creole" when people say "Kre-O". Or possibly Kree-O's, the breakfast cereal for the alien warrior in all of us!

So it's like Build-To-Rule, except with less Suck(TM)?
Pretty much. The difference being BTR actually allowed you to transform the toy, as I remember it. Thus the suck in the way things looked. You can do fully transforming Lego-style figures but they get to be pretty large if you want them to actually look like anything.

I don't know...when I was a kid I managed to make some pretty decent transforming cars out of standard Lego and the hinges available at the time (none of those fancy balljoints!). They were about the size of a official Lego car from back then (4 studs wide, 10-12 long).

Stopped at a Wally World today and saw gobs of (the formerly missing at retail) Generations/Classics figures on the shelf next to all the latest movie bots. I guess they're still rolling out the non-movie stuff.

Anything particularly rare? Still looking for the Grappel figure myself.

I don't think so. They had stuff like Scourge, Kup, Warpath, Wheeljack, etc. Like, rows and rows of them in their own section.

But now that you mention it, there weren't any of the MIA figures outside of the $10 ones. I hadn't noticed it at the time, but it seems odd in retrospect. Must have something to do with the SKUs.
Well, there have got to be people who would want Warpath and Wheeljack for sure. If I didn't have them myself, I'd be begging you to go grab them for me. Anyone who's missed out on Kup REALLY ought to go get one and then nab the iGear head upgrade.

The iGear head-set is pretty slick. I wish the head was a tab bigger - maybe 5% or so. And the off-white cap seems odd to me. But, barring that, I was pleased with it.

Same goes for whoever did the War Axe accessory. That thing is glorious.
I might be interested in the war axe, but I have yet to open up my WFC OP. Bah, I still have a few lbs to lose before I can allow myself to do so. ;)

I'd still like a Wreck-Gar if anyone sees one out there!

I'd actually like a Wheeljack, if that's feasable. I can pass on Thundercracker for now, and I found a Warpath just yesterday at Target! There were two Generations figures left on the shelf on one peg, and the one I first saw was Kup (which I have.) I actually considered not looking, thinking to myself "what are the chances there'll be a figure I actually WANT behind this Kup?"
You can get Wheeljack here:

Interesting... the preview image for combined Encore Devastator shows slight differences in coloration from the original:

[tinyurl.com]

This also happens to resemble the model used for the 1986 catalog. Granted the other shots of the separate vehicles don't match the first photo, so it's hard to say at this point.

Still holding out hope for an e-Hobby Diaclone version.
They've made some color tweaks on previous Encore figs. Granted, I don't think the grey cement mixer looks good, but I could see them changing it if it were from something.

A super-cool interview with a couple of the guys behind the Transformers United toy line.

"Classics" was a series meant to trigger a memory of older Transformers series before the launch of the Movie, and we did not actually give much consideration to the appearance of the original toys. The “Classics” were supposed to be re-inventions of the characters, and after those, another re-invention would appear in the Movie. The main aim [of "Classics”] was to show off how many good characters existed in the Transformers line. So the figures in "Generations" are actually truer to G1 [from a design perspective].

For people in their 20s or 30s like myself, the look of the original Kup and Scourge are a bit hard to accept. I really enjoy updating their vehicle modes to something more modern.

Pukimus Prime. Weirdly, I kinda dig it...basically because I like seeing the classic Prime cab in different colors. The camo on the trailer is unsettling, of course.
I want that green Prime bad, but I'm hoping $175 is an overestimation and it'll be cheaper elsewhere somehow.

If I see any of these, I will certainly pick one up for you!

I'm most excited about the Junkion remold:
[tformers.com]

I like Scrapheap, but it's out of my price range--especially when I couldn't care less about trans-blue Hot Rod and shiny-blue Kup.

It still isn't confirmed what 'head' design or color scheme they'll use for Junkion. There are so many to choose from: [s90690880.onlinehome.us]
I located a Thundercracker. It was just sitting on a peg at Target with some older stuff. I don't know if it was what was left of the remaining classics line or just a fluke. I still need Warpath and Wheeljack but there is a level of fun wondering "Will it be on the shelf today?"

I've run across quite a few Kups and even one more Scourge.

Generation have been popping up at my local TRU ill keep an eye out for them.

I'm still on the look out for a wheeljack and warpath. I've run across a couple of Sergent Kups around here.
Frumble are available again for preorder: [www.bigbadtoystore.com]

As for me, I think the Perfect Effect ones look nicer, and for a cheaper price, they're what I've ordered.

Marvin, I've got a Wheeljack for you. I'll go back and look for a Warpath this afternoon.
