hmm...Optimus Prime looks alright so far. I think overall, the movie TF designs look too "buggy". I don't know whether to imagine the tranformation or swat them with a rolled up newspaper. They are just works in progress anyway, right? Maybe the pics leaked out to see what the initial reaction is. I hope the designers are soaking it in, and ready to make some changes. they gotta meet us half-way. The designs look so complex that I wonder if watching them transform (quickly) would even make sense--like they would just go from robot to blah to car. Or maybe the design team thought of every detail, part, and piece to bring us the results we see here.

That 1/1 scale BumbleBee is awsome! I love how complex the design is!

hmmmm....these designs are starting to grow on me the more I see them. Still kind of bionicle though. eh, I'll just go see it and see how that goes.
I think that unless hasbro does something absolutely spectacular, the toys are gonna blow. SHE could pull it off, I bet.
We'll see.

I can only hope that the Movie toys will be as well made as the Alternators/Binaltech lines.

Somehow I don't think Peter Cullen will record my diatribe about anal sex. Damn!

Not REALLY a complaint but Im just wondering, would it have been bad if Thundercracker and Skywarp were in the film? Just something about Starscream being the only one like him is as cool to me.

new character pics from jalopnik.com
I'm not sure why they're all either incomplete or have blank grey rectangles covering part of the bottom - I'm theorizing that they were deleted from the memory card of someone working on the movie, and part of the data was overwritten, but the rest of the data was then recovered by whoever leaked the images.

Interesting. I really want to see how they do Prime and Megatron's toy. I still like Classics more (from a toyline standpoint) though.
I think the problem is the scale of these figures is too small to give the complexity and detail needed to make these work completely like the film. I do figure that some characters might be given more than one toy (a listing for the upcoming toyline has one called "Buzz Bumblebee").
Im liking Barricade the most. Im not fond of Bumblebee's painted windows and Brawl's tank mode reminds me too much of Armada Megatron.

Barricade looks nice in Car mode, looks fun to transform too!
That BumbleBee must be from the lower end of the line up (I hope), I'm betting that he'll get a better toy for the "07 (or is it 08) Camaro" version.
Is Jazz the first ever Pontiac Transformer??

On that note... a final-ish-looking version of Scorponok showed up on ebay today.
Interesting, the markings on him suggest that the scorpion mode is actually some type of fictional human-built vehicle.
