Transformers movie gigantic superthread

The way the eyes are set up on Prime is a bit wierd. Maybe it's the pupils.

I asked if I have "Time For L-Gaim" but I got "No Reply From The Wind".
hmm...Optimus Prime looks alright so far. I think overall, the movie TF designs look too "buggy". I don't know whether to imagine the tranformation or swat them with a rolled up newspaper. They are just works in progress anyway, right? Maybe the pics leaked out to see what the initial reaction is. I hope the designers are soaking it in, and ready to make some changes. they gotta meet us half-way. The designs look so complex that I wonder if watching them transform (quickly) would even make sense--like they would just go from robot to blah to car. Or maybe the design team thought of every detail, part, and piece to bring us the results we see here.

Man..that prime looks like he' been smokin' some serious shit..

Hmmm...Bumblebee looks like the offspring of a Cybertronian and a Necron from Warhammer 40K.

Don't remember what site these were from... some link Nidaram sent me. I resized them, the originals were hueg.

That 1/1 scale BumbleBee is awsome! I love how complex the design is!

hmmmm....these designs are starting to grow on me the more I see them. Still kind of bionicle though. eh, I'll just go see it and see how that goes.

I think that unless hasbro does something absolutely spectacular, the toys are gonna blow. SHE could pull it off, I bet.

We'll see.

You can bet the designers at Takara weren't saying that...

I can only hope that the Movie toys will be as well made as the Alternators/Binaltech lines.

Keep hoping. I would expect most of the merchandise to be priced on the low end, as other movie tie-ins usually are, but Hasbro has shown they're not afraid of occasionally selling more complex higher-priced items to collectors.

Somehow I don't think Peter Cullen will record my diatribe about anal sex. Damn!

What is it with Transfans and Gobots or any line of robots that turn into vehicles? I swear, anything with remotely the same basic premise of Transformers is a ripoff and evil. I wonder what they'd say if they knew Machine Robo was older than Transformers.
> I wonder what they'd say if they knew
> Machine Robo was older than Transformers.

But which is older out of Machine Robo and Diaclone?

Whatever, Transformers is just a ripoff of "My Mother, The Car" anyway.

The older carded Machine Robo toys are dated 1982. Diaclone Car Robots is around 1984 I believe.

Wikipedia says 1982 for both Diaclone Car Robots and Machine Robo.

Can we expect an Optimus Prime Super Soaker in the near future?

SilhouetteFormula.Net
Not REALLY a complaint but Im just wondering, would it have been bad if Thundercracker and Skywarp were in the film? Just something about Starscream being the only one like him is as cool to me.

new character pics from jalopnik.com

I'm not sure why they're all either incomplete or have blank grey rectangles covering part of the bottom - I'm theorizing that they were deleted from the memory card of someone working on the movie, and part of the data was overwritten, but the rest of the data was then recovered by whoever leaked the images.

Interesting. I really want to see how they do Prime and Megatron's toy. I still like Classics more (from a toyline standpoint) though.

I think the problem is the scale of these figures is too small to give the complexity and detail needed to make these work completely like the film. I do figure that some characters might be given more than one toy (a listing for the upcoming toyline has one called "Buzz Bumblebee").

Im liking Barricade the most. Im not fond of Bumblebee's painted windows and Brawl's tank mode reminds me too much of Armada Megatron.

Barricade looks nice in Car mode, looks fun to transform too!

That BumbleBee must be from the lower end of the line up (I hope), I'm betting that he'll get a better toy for the "07 (or is it 08) Camaro" version.

Is Jazz the first ever Pontiac Transformer??

On that note... a final-ish-looking version of Scorponok showed up on ebay today.

Interesting, the markings on him suggest that the scorpion mode is actually some type of fictional human-built vehicle.

Reminds me way too much like the Scorpion Ectomorphicon robot from the first Power Ranger movie.

WOW, Bumblebee in the movie looks better than the toy. The polics car looks pretty cool.
