Ugh...don't remind me, man...I wasn't going to be around for the end of the auction, so instead of having a buddy snipe it for me, I tried to throw down a chubby bid...to no avail.
Grrr...
*sigh*...honestly, I'm really jonsing for a Convertors D.A.Tona: had him when I was little, and boy, I loved the hell outta it! Convinced mom through much kicking and screaming to buy it for me at Osco Drug in Quincy (where Petco is now--Massholes, holla if ya hear me!). Good times...
Diecast and chromy head. What not to love, damnit!?

I noticed those on YahooJapan Auctions last week, too. I've never seen those models before either, but the Metal Battler models from the Galvion line seem pretty cool. The only one I've got is Laggdol, though.

who released those? i suppose it wasn't arii, so maybe imai? LS?
the circus 3 seems like the arii one tho', the battlers, at 1/120, must be friggin' TINY ...
if only bidding at yahoo jp was cheaper :'(

I think the sticker is to show that it is officially licensed product.
The first two boxes seem to have the manufacturer's logo on the side of the box; it's the red and white blob you see in the top right corner. It kinda looks like Imai's logo, but it's too badly visible to say for sure...

Curious little tidbit:
Machine Robo Revenge of Chronos episode 23 has a cameo by two Galvion mechs: one of the Chasers (I think Police Chaser) and one of the Circus cars. Anyone wants a screenshot?
The same episode also features the Zeta Gundam fighting a bad guy in 'jet' mode, transforming, and getting trashed shortly afterwards... ;)

Quick thoughts on the Breast (according to box)/Blest (according to transfers)/Blast (according to me) Chaser kit by ARII (which I'm busy building right now):
Pretty decent kit, however the elbow and knee joints are way too tight, and the knee and hip joints are also incredibly fragile - I broke the hip bars while trying to install them and had to glue them, and I cracked one of the knees.
It doesn't include all of the armour shown in the artbook pics, either - maybe a different version.

Here's some nice pictures, but many of the mecha are unidentified:

I'm pretty sure the bottom of this page is the comprehensive list, but it's Japanese:

I can translate the Japanese names for you if you'd like.

yup, i noticed that too.. that's why i asked, but maybe many of the numbers account for variants? ... :S
so far of those i have :
ARII:
no 5 : 1/80 zector-3 3pack (galvion 2?)
no 11: 1/72 MB-alpha11 ???? - can't read the name, it's shown in the box illustrations on the kits i have
no14 : 1/72 road chaser
no17 : " atomic chaser
no20 : " blast? chaser (the aromred road chaser variant)
no23 : " rescue chaser (variant / remold of 17)
IMAI :
no 3 : 1/48 galvion road fighter
also on the side it's box there's illustrations for other 2 1/72 kits (wich i thought were released by ARII) and a 1/32 zector-3 and the 1/48 circus-1 (car mode)

I've never seen the 1/72 Videus and Goram models. Were they actually produced? Videus looks like a 50 times more awesome Laggdol.

don't know if those or the 1/32 zector-3 kits exist somewhere... maybe it's the same case as with the 1/48 southern cross variable hovertank, it was advertised in some catalogs but afaik never released...
could it have been around the first bankrupcity of IMAI ?
damn... i know there's a book for all the old plamo by aoshima.. we lack something similar for both IMAI and ARII don't we?? :'3

Excite Japan tells me that the two middle kanji are "attack form". The other two... it just gives me "tsuyo"... something about strength.

will put some boxarts tomorrow or the day after....
such a shame, brought the Y. Takani roman album and the newer Wonder Art book, only to find that his Galvion stuff wasn't included in either... :'3
also... could someone post a transformation sequence instruction/pictorial for the little select/mark galvion toys?
thanks in advance :3

That sucks. I should probably track those books down, though... would go nice with Kenichi Ishibashi's Metal Heart and the Gundam Illustration Worlds.

I have a *HUGE* favor to ask for someone who is fluent in written Japanese and has access to post on 2chan (they block non-Japanese IP addresses).
Can someone post the picture of Golem and Videus on one of these Imageboards:
[up.2chan.net]
[nov.2chan.net]
(I'm not sure which board is the correct one, but they both seem to deal with mecha and models.)
I want to find out if the Golem and Videus models advertised on the side of the 1/72 Imai Galvion were ever released. Any help is appreciated!
