For another $5 I'll write "Soul of Chogokin" on the box with a Sharpie.

SOC Glaug? Maybe if it was a Variable Glaug [www.mahq.net] I don't know if its worth doing an SOC. A glaug is like an eva, there will be no end.

Worse comes worse, toynami is 'supposed' to be coming out with a battlepod that isn't a bookend...

On the plus side, SHE seems to have resumed work on Dangaioh.

I think he was talking about this Glaug:

that'd make a pretty nifty soc ...

Indeed I was Sjoen.

I know it was never a "C" to begin with, but a diecast SoC Kure Kure Takora would make my head explode.

more diecast kaiju in general would be great but Bandai's SOC line - or basic toy style in general these days - doesn't seem a good fit for said.

I mean, look at their Gamera: a diecast toy that looks to be made of rubber! Joy!

=P

For my money, I would like to see somebody, anybody, pick up where Marushin and Ark left off. Modern sturdiness and gimmickry wedded to old-school kaiju-turned-daikiju funk.

Oh, yeah - now there's a dream to get all wet and wistful for!

Sorry 'bout that hillsy, thanks for clarification Sjoen.

Preach it! Albegas and Rahxephon for the win!
Albegas would be awesome for SOC. Especially after seeing what they did with Godmars..

Rahxephon doesnt sit right with me as a SOC.. SPEC for sure..
You know for a couple of years now the SOC have been feeling a little...well...soulless....Don't get me wrong, the chance to own a new Raideen and Godmars is amazing, but something is amiss...

The quality is amazing, the fit and finish impress (hell most SOC are better built than 95% of the worlds cars...), and even the packaging impresses, but still I am left wanting....The weird thing is that when I open a new SOC...I spend a couple of hours putting all the parts on, playing with the pieces, posing it the way I want and the setting it on the shelf with its brethren...and there it sits...rarely am I compelled to take it off the shelf again and mess with it...

Holy crap, it sounds like I am wanting toys...hmmmm....

sorry bitching at an end....

A vifam would be nice....and dammit would it kill bandai to make a decent Aura Battler Dunbine. I have that Byston Well one and the original clovers, but I would really like a new one...
I try not to harp on it every time the thought occurs, as that would likely be several times a day, but yes, we need awesome SOC/SPEC style toys of these guys.

Amen....a thousand times amen....
And not at all like those damn McFarlane style gashapon on steroids that are the Lord of Byston well series...Even though I would be lying if I said that I didn't dig the cool metal weapons...
a VOLTES V SOC, a Combattler V SOC and DAIMOS SOC the size of a GREAT MAZINGER GX-02R --- so that they will have similar scales/height...

the 3 do not have to fully transform like the full versions- maybe just a little bit of transformation... or maybe not--just full articulation would be great though!!

I'm surprised no one else said Red Baron. Considering how many weapons that thing had, this would be the perfect chance for Ban Dai to make a SOC with a shit-load of firing projectiles. Baron Missle. Baron Punch, Arm Missle etc.
I am a fan of Red Baron, but I don't think Mach Baron was popular than Red Baron.

It would be cool to have the Space Wings attachment and the Drill Missiles.

I assume that everyone knows that Daitetsujin-17 is the next SOC....
just to illustrate what I am thinking of:

you know... SOC Voltes V, SOC Combattler v and Daimos SOC--- the Size of the Mazinger GX-01R

Agree. They've been holding this back for too long - just do it already. For cripes sake, they've already done GodMarz (another favourite of mine) - I don't think this should be difficult at all to excecute after all they've achieved.

Yes. God Sigma needs/deserves an SOC release.
Dunbine seems like a no-brainer to me at this point. I wonder what the hold up is?

I don't fucking know!!! What is the hold up, Bandai!??!11

Really, What in hell's furnace is taking so damned long?!

Amen...Hey, remember when we used to say the same thing about Raideen? Now I have a kick ass Raideen. But just to drive the point home....

Bandai, we, your loyal followers, would very much like a Dunbine SOC. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Well as for Dunbine, I rather have them take their time than rush it out there (like how I felt lackluster SOC SPEC L-Gaim was).

I asked if I have "Time For L-Gaim" but I got "No Reply From The Wind".
Something tells me that if a Dunbine WERE to see the light of day, it would be a SPEC, not a SOC.
Same difference, felgercarb.
