Those are... amazing! I don't like SD stuff, but those are incredible... the effect parts with Getter 2 and the articulation on the treads of Getter 3 are genius! Are they sold as a set or separately? I could be convinced to buy Getter 3, which always looks kinda SD anyway.

Introducing Prometheus Rising Studio.

I make 3D printed mecha action figures.

Now, why in hell wouldn't those come with little SD Get Machines!? Seriously, what the fuck...how the fuck do you forget critical "accessories" like that??

Anyway, they remind me of these:

I amazed at how much cheaper these guys are than the previous entries to this line. These ones are actually affordable! Amiami has them listed separately, so no, they aren't a set. Does anyone know if they're supposed to actually have die-cast?

Givem the number/type of accessories for the other ES releases, I'd be surprised if they left out the SD Getta Machines. It's like forgetting the eraser on your #2 pencil.
I might get Getter 1, it was always was the best of the three.
Those Metal Box dudes are cool, however I like the ES proportions better and they're completed 'toys'.

Hrmm.. I may just have to start collecting this series as well as those Megahouse Deformovers..
Over at BBTS they have Getter 1 for $59 and G2 and G3 for $49. Anyone know how tall these little guys are.

Diecast is listed as one of the materials used. They ARE a bit cheaper than Jeeg and Goshogun (by about $30) but that's probably due to the smaller amount of accessories and such.

I didn't realize before that the Metalbox ones were neither "metal", nor completed toys. I'll pass. :/

Still, their Groizer looked friggin' *excellent*!

I hope more figures get done in this ES line...I'd love all three Getter G's.

Ah, man. That's a no-doubter there then. Hopefully it's down in that 50 buck range too.

Ha! Goodamu is so squashed to begin with, it still looks normal even in super-cute mode!
This is looking like a very neat and fun toy line. Though at the price, I still would like to hear a bit more about the size and metal content. At the least, it makes me want to pull out the old Banpresto SD gokins to fiddle with again!
Vaikanfu looks killer. And I wonder how Lightan is gonna convert and hide that huge head!

This link has a pic that gives a sense of GoShogun's size. [ga.sbcr.jp]

Oh these look sooo good. Lightan is hilarious..

Oh and Tekkaman looks great too.. Will be looking at this instead of the SPEC..
As I said before, Lightan is a MUST buy!

Actually, that Getter One looks pretty incredible too!

I see Gordian line art behind Gold Lightan!
This may be a stupid question, but isn't Baikanfu the same as Gordian?
MattAlt (Admin)
Same concept, but totally different execution. Baikanfu was redesigned from the ground up.
Oh man, they all look so awesome. While I love the Getter 1, that Lightan is so amazing in all his boxiness!!!!

Don't they share a few parts in the upper arms, upper legs, maybe the torso?

The answer to your question is 'yes', if by 'the same' you mean 'AS COMPLETELY AWESOME'.

Here's some okay comparison pics:
[blogs.yahoo.co.jp]

I'm sure there are better ones out there.
I'm tempted by that Dancougar, just so I can have a larger Eagle Fighter figure.

--------------------------------------------------------------

I asked if I have "Time For L-Gaim" but I got "No Reply From The Wind".
I never thought I'd say it, but I really want that Godam. Considering how much cheaper the Getter Robo figures are, I wonder how much smaller they'll be compared to Goshogun and Jeeg?
Given the size of the screws, maybe 4 inches high?

I hope not...I hope there at least 6 or 7 inches. 4 inches makes me think of Gijoe figures.
Well, Tofu Oyako is about that size and there's plenty of worth there for the price. Given $60 for the Getter One, I doubt very much that it's the size of a 7" SOC.

Artstorm's site says Getter 1 is 10.5 cm tall.
Which is just over 4 inches.. which is good in my books. Takes less space on shelf, price is usually lower, boxes are smaller, which all means I can buy more of them :D

Besides super deformed figures need to be small. A large sized SD figure kinda defeats the purpose.. Along with these I'm also considering the Deforider figures..

Also, a thanks to Scopedog for those comparison pics.
GoShogun.

Yeah after I thought about it, your right that 7" would be SOC size and that aint happening at that price. Either way I'll be happy they do look awesome. Also as noted I guess id kinda does defeat the purpose of having an SD if its big.
Being a gokin collector I am interested in this series, but I just can't get excited by these big headed pygmy versions of robots. I bought a bunch of the small banpresto big-headed pygmies, but they are all wound in the the toy crack boxes....
These would be easier for me to like if the heads were smaller (like those Hi-metal Joke Machine Valkyries).

I don't think you understand "SD".
Also, didn't those Valkyries only have small heads because bigger heads would get in the way of transformation?
