No idea. You can probably come up with some estimate using the existing 1/100 toys' measurements and the size comparison charts around the 'net or in books.
16.55 meters in 1/100 is 0.1655 meters

Looks like it will fit in nicely with the 1/60 VF-25...it's even more chunky!

I didn't wanna cross the streams in the CM's thread, so I'm continuing this here...

Hmmm...I wonder if it might be one of the "prototype" joints...just like they did with the SDF-1. We may yet see a cheap one down the road.

fire valkyrie in fighter mode

so sweet

So, limited release Regult kit, and mass release SDF-1 non-kit.

VF5SS: you could totally package it like that to save space
asterphage: oh yeah, crouched up? that's so adorable, like an Agguy
VF5SS: I like how Agguys are a measure of cute. scale of 1 to Agguy

also Veef on the mass release SDF-1:
"features include not having a 2000 dollar price tag"

these things we say are so incredibly funny I just NEED to share them with you all

I have a feeling that once painted pics start showing up, my face will melt off...Raiders of the Lost Ark-style.

Oh, did they announce the pricetag on the 1/3000 SDF-1?
Well hell, Paul...as long as you think it's funny....;)

so if anyone here still cares the first macross frontier movie is coming to blu-ray on October 7th. On the disk will be a playable demo for a Macross frontier PS3 game.
I care, because I STILL need to sit and watch the majority (95%) of Frontier, so I can understand what all these toys are about. Blu-ray probably looks great....I still gotta get one of those hi def player thingies too, dadgummit.
Blu-Ray is nice, but just playing a regular DVD on a Blu-Ray player makes makes SUCH a difference.

I got a confirm that the Toynami 1/100 Glaug will be larger than their 1/100 Regult, and the packaging will be larger as well.

My contact joked that perhaps it should be a "DX Vinyl"!
Anonymous User
Sooo.... If Toynami made a MACROSS Storm Attacker in their Shogun Warrior line, would folks here buy it?
Sanjeev (Admin)
A two-foot vinyl SDF-1?

Ummm...fuck yeah.

If I could see you in person, I'd smack you for even asking me that! ;)

You go tell your "contact" that...make it happen, Ray! Hahaha...

Wandered my way through Frank and Son's this Saturday after work and saw that the missile Regult was selling for $25. Couldn't resist and I'm pretty damn happy with this. Now I gotta have the regular flavor Regult and wait patently for the Glaug.

Thanks for the heads up AcroRay. I would have never taken the plunge if I didn't know they were going all way with the battlepods.

It almost looks like that picture was taken with the head at the worst possible angle. Maybe it won't have such a Mickey Mouse effect at a different one.

SDCC "MACROSS" Tactical Pod. Not a Robotech product, notice...

Sanjeev (Admin)
They're supposed to be 1/100 scale, right? Kinda odd that they don't seem to mention that on the packaging...

Whose signature is that, by the way?
Just got the Regult. I really like this thing. I think I may need to track down the initial versions. I like that it's under the "Macross" heading.

It's on the back, written in large fonts with the other features. I just don't have a shot of that part of the box.

Daisuke Fukuda, Toynami's product manager for their Robotech-related products, and the designer/sculptor of this piece.

On a bit of a tangent, I stumbled across an old toy industry ad on eBay featuring the Matchbox large "Veritech" toy, with its deleted transformable features on display, which are only hinted at via legacy assembly points and interior surfaces in the final production model:

The world of Macross hates me, Ray. Don't suppose you or someone else with the intestinal fortitude to maintain a login over there can re-post it here?
Wasn't that Nousjadeul-Ger (dunno what they called it for Robotech) toy more garishly colored than what's show above?

--------------------------------------------------------------

I asked if I have "Time For L-Gaim" but I got "No Reply From The Wind".

They did a couple of color combos, one of which was supposed to be the 'female' version. I have the Playmates edition, which is a little more reasonably redeco'd.
