Preordered. Just watching the movie now... are there any variants we should keep a lookout for?

Oh no... not this again! Dooooood... just give up already. Admitting that they re-used the CGI files from Macross Zero is the first step to recovery...

They reworked and functionalized Gerwalk mode, Mr.Gato. *That's* something *very* different.

I love that old 1/100 scale, have the Bandai VF-1A DYRL version. If the KO one inst too poor of quality it should be an enjoyable figure. Fingers crossed for ya.

The bootleg I have is of pretty good quality. Obviously the molding is a bit less good than the original and paint apps too, but the plastics and diecast are top-notch.

I do that for my Valks too.
Yeah I know, chaotic looking display.

I asked if I have "Time For L-Gaim" but I got "No Reply From The Wind".

See those two little ones on my display. They're transformable. Released by Kaiyodo as trading figures.

Do they part swap or are they perfect transform?
The Banpresto's are a little smaller than a 1/100 and are perfect transform as well as perfect crap.

Kind of like a "The Chogokin" line from a few years back where they did microshrunk versions of full size robots. I loved those. How cool would that be. Nothing fiddly or weird just a shrunk down version of the best and most playable version of the Valk...You know I have always felt that all of the Yamato/hi-metal/toynami/whoever the hell else other versions of the valkyrie have all felt kind of like trying to reinvent the mousetrap...novel but not better...when something is perfect it is perfect...

Aw, crud, I missed the "Kaiyodo" in Vince's post, so I thought he was talking about the cheap Convertors Valkyries. Whcih are perfect transform, but suck in every other aspect.

Well I got that 1/100 KO valk...it's pretty awesome. The tab that holds the body halves together in battroid mode broke, but I stuck a little piece of plastic in the hole there & it holds together just fine. It also lacks rigidity in fighter mode, but I suspect that to be a takatoku-engineering problem. All-in-all, AWESOME. I need more 1/100 taka valks.

D'aww...well I dunno. Had I known it was this nice, I would have fought you for it. ;)
Also, just bought this:

Nice I got a few of those too, a VF-1J Max, and a neon orange one.

SONUVA...
What a rip...*I* was gonna do that!!
Haha...thanks for posting that, Dan. Seriously, I was gonna either paint the ceiling and back wall of the city bay with glow paint or just glue in some glow vinyl sheeting to simulate the lit "sky". Still trying to figure a way to paint the buildings, themselves, in a way that won't drive me mad.
I wasn't gonna bother doing all the windows/lights on the rest of the exterior of the ship, but now, after seeing how amazing they look on this guy's toy, I may just go ahead and do that now...

The red plastic looks super... plastic-y. Needs a candy painted finish like on the newest Hot Toys' Iron Man.
