Get up, (get on up)
Get up, (get on up)
Stay on the scene, (get on up), like a walker machine, (get on up)
Get up, (get on up)
Stay on the scene, (get on up), like a walker machine, (get on up)
Wait a minute!
Shake your arm, then use your form
Stay on the scene like a walker machine
You got to have the feeling sure as you're born
Get it together, right on, right on.
"Urban Vinyl" Walker Machines! Who'd a thunk it? A company called Sunguts released these to zero fanfare in 2004, and I only found out about 'em when Roger stumbled across the set at Mandarake last night. They're about half again as large as the old Clover ones, and about half as detailed. :)

Here's a spread from an issue of Kai-Zine showing all of his stuff:

Here is my meager Sunguts collection:
Cumguts! (The Ultra-jet isn't Sunguts, it's a Bandai Candy kit):
Betagon:
Ryunos:
Yurisisu Alien (w/ revolving faces):
No air bubbles or slip-shod construction here, these are very well made. I think the walker-machines were an earlier effort...

Not being a sofubi person, but having watched Xabungle, I'm guessing Sunguts made those squishy deformed versions of the Gallop (left pic) and the Trade 11 (right pic) Walker Machines as a tribute to their Zaku-like status within the show. They're the grunt WMs that most everyone uses, they're the ones the Breakers are using after they get hold of Irongear and the Xabungles...
At least that makes sense to me.

I actually have an update for this thread.
Ichimiya of Sunguts was in town the other week for a show, and I was able to get in a question (via Toybotstudios) about the Walker Machines, i.e., whether there are any plans to produce more. He said maybe. But he can only sell them under a one-day license at the Chara Hobby event.
I can't remember the last time I heard of Sunguts attending C3, so maybe not a good sign. But at least he didn't say no.

Big thanks to akum6n for the hookup! How come nobody has mentioned before now that these come with little DIY flesh pilot busts for you to trim, paint if desired, and install?
