The catch phrase for this new picture perfectly fits Gingaizer of all things. "tsugi no chogokindamashii wa kore de kimari sa" is just like the refrain of Gingaizer's theme song, "tatakai wa kore de kimari sa." Gingaizer also has a mask that flares out in a way that could match that silhouette. With Daimos I would expect the catch phrase to be something that matches Daimos, but this line doesn't seem to have anything to do with Daimos.
That godmarz looks insane!

FUCK YEAH!!! Now that's a REAL Gokin!!! He's instantly tied at the top of my most favourite Gokin list with Dancouga. GAWD. I was a bit worried at first when I saw early (uncoloured) shots of the combined mode - the thighs of the blue/yellow & black/silver robots do not get concealed (like Godsigma) and as a result, you'll see a very unsightly gap in-between each of their thighs.
However, it seems I got worried over nothing. It's certainly not bothering me at all right now. Although I do hope Bandai will release some sort of an 'outer shell' which I can add on to make the thighs more flushed & anime-accurate in the combined mode.
What a way to kick-start 2008. He's gonna' make it instantly to the top 3 spots of TOTY 2008. It's also not every time we get a toy that looks better than its anime counterpart (oh wait, but then again, there's Ideon, Iron Gear, Dancouga...). All right Bandai - try topping this next year (No, SOC Daimos is not good enough unless I can strip him down to his endoskeleton).

It looks so ffffffun. With a capital FFFFFF. I want to play with it now. When does it come out? March 'r somethin'? So boxy, yet awesome. Like a giant Volvo mecha-titan. The individual bots remind me of Albegas, but with a few leftover; including one that doesn't remind me of Albegas at all.

Check out the ass shots:

I wonder how they managed to get fattie's lower legs hidden in the combined mode? They stuck out from behind on the vintage one - it was a real eyesore considering the combined looked almost perfect. This is so cool!

It seems that Reideen will have two versions. One with and one without the "God Surface Rock"

That's been long-assumed but it's good to hear it confirmed. I think the rock looks really dang cool, but I don't think I appreciate it enough to throw the extra $$ at it. Very cool option for the Reideen uber-fans though.

(scroll down)
Looks like you have to buy the one with the huge mountain and gold statue if you want white limbs. Or if you want the motorcycle dude.
Feh, I say. Feh!

That's a no brainer - I'd pick the "ST" version. I would never display that mountain thingy anyway and the motorcycle PVC and white limbs are neglible, especially considering the 6615 Yen difference in price! Plus chrome limbs is consistent with the old skool aesthetic anyway (along with the rest of the "ST" SOC's). I'd use the $ I save to go towards the Daimos SOC instead!
