Just won these on Yahoo Japan Auctions. Rob pointed out that these would be the only actual Southern Cross toys made in Japan :)

I almost forgot that I bid on this, and I paid entirely too much, but at last, the search is over:

Yep, they had little catalogs in the capsule with them.
Gunkeshi Club (which is now down) had good scans of the catalogs. This site has scans too, but unfortunately they're pretty small:

I didn't know what to expect from the book, but it's pretty nice(although it's missing the shitty Seven 1/48 Snapping Tortoise and the sublime Battling Combo ATs). It would be more useful if I didn't already have most of the toys, but that's I guess that's my problem, not the book's. :)
Here's another shot of VOTOMs kesshigomu I found on 2chan today:

Today at the Umeda Mandarake I discovered that SD ERASERS are still going strong. 2,100 yen for a Destroid Monster, and twice that much for a HAL X-10 from Patlabor.
Meanwhile, on a shelf nearby, two vintage Takara 1/24 Brutishdogs sat gathering dust with price tags under 3,000.
How the mighty have fallen.

I haven't seen a lot of erasers made of the designs and characters that I like lately. Therefore erasers are in danger. WTF erasers?

Damn erasers. Damn them to hell.
Damn them for there not being a King Kong one...to finish off the Arklons:
(uh, the Chibull and Mechagodzilla on the end are placeholders...to make me feel better...until a Kong can be obtained)
