12/22/99: HG Heaven

Bandai's just released photos of the newest HG capsule Godzilla toys. The selection is (somewhat) interesting: beyond the obligiatory Godzillas, there's an old-school Mogera and a Varan as well.

Although HG toys are all-but-ignored in America, they're big business in Japan. In fact, the series of original Ultraman HG monsters released several years ago are fetching prices of up to $20 a pop in Japanese used-toy stores. The combination of high detail and tiny size makes these suckers near-irresistable to space-starved Japanese collectors.
